need to refill the tube, ate! he.he. meron na rin kaming ganyan, kakakabit lang din namin, isa palang ang humming bird na nakakita :)
hehehe, hubby was aware of the empty bottle. we ran out of sugar kasi and i just went to the store to buy pure cane sugar.
Oh, my! I love these pics! And the hummingbird... so adorable and cute! :) Watching this scene from your porch must give you quite a bliss, Belle!
rhodes, that is the reason why i can never finish my household chores because of these creatures. i actually took 50 pictures this afternoon and only 4 came out decent. they are so tiney and they move fast, extremely hard to photograph. their wings can beat as fast as 80 times a second.
Those hummingbirds are beautiful. Too bad we don't have any here. I wish I could see one someday.
How marvellous! you're a great photographer Belle :-) good shots!
Bella,
These pictures are amazing - you have a really fast camera. I hope you filled the feeder.
Patty
@rach, thanks. unfortunately hummingbirds are only located in north and south america. when you visit, you will be able to see one.
@pining, thanks. i am far from being a good photographer. i just keep clicking until i find a good one.
@patty, thanks. nice to read your comments. i am happy with these pictures.
i just reminded S to make a nectar, so he is doing that right now.
moving objects are one of the hardest to photograph, and then you did a hummingbird! galing!
Wow! Beautiful pictures Tita Belle! I showed the hummingbirds to Ate P and Sean, and now they want one.:)
i just love your pictures of the humingbird. they're very tiny, but you were able to photograph them very well. thanks, Belle, for sharing, and taking time out for these wondrous creatures of God.
Belle,
i have noticed that you have a new layout now. cool, clean, and i like the color (pink is the next color i like after purple). but i am missing that picture with the bear.
Beautiful photos, belle! Ang galing mo mag capture! Hummingbirds are one of the biggest eaters in the animal kingdom daw, I saw on Discovery channel, despite how tiny they are.
I saw hummingbirds in NY but none here in Manila :)
Nice shots!
@dimpz, thanks. hehehe, i would love to have hummingbirds as pets, too, ate P and S but it is just impossible because they are one of those God's creatures that don't want to be confined in a cage. they have to be free.
@sexy mom, thanks! it took hours and many shots to get those photographs. they never held still. they were constantly chasing each other.
i haven't changed my layout because i don't have a clue as to how. i would like to make it smaller and put a different header but may just have to wait until my daughter comes for the summer break.
@senor enrique, thanks! for your info, hummingbirds only exist in north and south america.
@Zherwin, thanks! i tell you it wasn't easy photographing these creatures. glad, i got those shots for keeps.
@chateau, thanks! hummingbirds, from what i know, eat every 15 to 20 minutes. during the peak season--july and august, my husband has to refill the feeder of a quart size every two days. indeed, they are eaters!
I can't believe you could take such beautiful close-up pictures of birds. I always learn of birds and flowers that I've read of but never seen in your blog. Now I know what a hummingbird looks like.
That's cool how you captured the birds flying in the air.
